One of the very first issues I had with the car was the wastegate vacuum lines melting. This causes an excess amount of boost, exceeding 2 bar, maximum on MAP and gauge. At Drift Week 2 I had issues with it and attempted putting some DEI sleeve on it, which helped, but ultimately still wasn’t a permanent repair.
I started with a gang of fittings and line. Everything was around $100 to get this little project done, but worth every dollar in saving the engine. It took awhile to get everything to fit nicely. A lot of test fitting and readjusting lines and clamps, but in the end I am very happy with the results. I’ve really been liking the Vibrant fittings lately, they have a good fit and the finish doesn’t mar easily.
